I’ve been a member of PureGym Kirkstall for over 4 years now, and since the new management came in there have been really noticeable positive changes. The gym feels cleaner, better organised, and overall just a much nicer place to train. The standard of classes has improved a lot they’re well structured, motivating, and welcoming no matter your fitness level. There’s a great atmosphere, and that really comes down to the staff! Sam has made a huge difference as manager. He’s incredibly friendly, approachable, and genuinely makes everyone feel welcome, which sets the tone for the whole gym. You can tell he really cares about the members and the environment he’s creating. I’ve done classes with Sam, Joe, Adam, Michael, Liam, Kristy and Tam, and they’ve all been fantastic, knowledgeable, encouraging, and great at making sessions enjoyable as well as effective. Overall, PureGym Kirkstall feels like a community now, not just a place to work out. Highly recommend! 🤎 Only one request… bring back Asher Hill!!!
Great gym to workout. The Standards have really changed in terms of cleanliness since I visited in the past. The assistant manager Dreia was very welcoming and approachable showing me around the gym and making me feel welcome as a new member. May look to join her class soon too. Yay!! 🥳
It’s generally very clean I must say. I like that there’s space to go and stretch or do conditioning things out of the way of people. I do feel it’s missing a bosu ball … pretty standard bit of equipment no? And shame theirs no pull up machine like the one in leeds city centre…. Although leeds city centre one is always a bit dirty. One other thing is the air con is very cold I find so bring layers for the end when you are stretching.
Great gym and staff. Been coming for over a year, staff always helpful and give advice with injuries and different workouts. Classes are good quality and fun. Thank you!
Recently moved to this gym from another pure gym in the city centre. The lack of air conditioning makes the classes unbearable in the summer. Why is the coolest place the changing room? It’s like a greenhouse in there. In comparison to other pure gyms the equipment seems somewhat dated. All that space and no sled pull, no curved treadmill, no air bike and no booty builder. The hack squat machine seems to be the least dated bit of equipment in there. When was the last time this gym had an update? I’ve noticed other Pure gyms have had a refurb when is it Kirkstalls turn?
