No one was rude. I feel it's important to say upfront as the reviews for this shop are chalk and cheese. I wonder if perhaps some reviewers weren't really prepared for the small independent retailer experience. They had what I wanted, I found it myself quite easily and the lady on the till was polite. As you'd expect from a shop this they have a smaller range but it's well laid out and all the essentials are there. I'm sure prices are a little above city high street and retail park chains like Go Outdoors but you should expect that when an independent is buying 5 pairs of boots to a national chain buying 500 pairs and I found a really good pair of shoes for under £100 which performed excellently on our walk that same afternoon. If you go in knowing there won't be dozens of styles from many brands, that you might pay a few quid more and that you might not find a tent that you can attach to a sheet cliff then you'll enjoy the experience and come out happy with your purchase as I did.

2 women in the shop were clueless in regards to prices etc, 1 went on her phone to try and find a price for items specifically guy ropes, not sure what she seen on her phone but charged me £30 for 6 guy ropes, must of saw me coming as I needed them to stop my caravan awning disappearing.

Love this shop normally. However was rudely spoken to by the woman at the counter she was not helpul when I asked about a coat that was on sale the week before hand. She glared at me and had the worst attitude. Not happy normally customer service is great here. Left the shop feeling quite upset.

Staff came across as little grumpy (mainly the man). Great selection of clothes though at very reasonable prices, definately something for everyone. Just need to happier to see customers

We bought some items whilst visiting Helmsley and were looked after very well by Phil. We needed a repeat of one item and contacted Phil to buy and have it posted to us , It arrived next morning. Superb service super range of stock. See you next time we’re up.
