This is a really special place where you can tell the people running the centre care about what they are doing. There is plenty of space and the main auditorium is very well designed to allow everyone to see what is going on on-stage. Good tea and coffee service too!
Jolly little place and thriving focus for the surrounding areas, and beyond. Very accommodating...good in summer and winter. Website pretty good as well...
Came to see the 1812 Theatre Company's production of Jekyll and Hyde on July 6th 2023. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the show was exactly what I needed after a long journey up. The Centre has a back yard which is really nice and good spot to catch your breath during the interval. Signage to the facilities is outstanding and I would definitely come back up for another amazing show in this amazing venue
Went to meet the manager to discuss a forthcoming art exhibition for next year. Really lovely spaces: adaptable, attractive and practical. If I lived in Helmsley I'd go there all the time! Brilliantly situated in the middle of a great little market town.
Small venue but decent setup, small bar and lounge area but recommended if you don't like big places with lots of people....
