This is the best birds of prey park we visited, beautiful birds, the shows are absolutely amazing, very educational with a great mix of humour. Charlie and his team very passionate about their work. Highly recommend to visit, we visited twice already, incomparable experience.
Beautiful birds and fantastic talks. We attended the 11:3am talk on 25th, really enjoyed seeing the birds different personalities and natures. The information given in the talks was delivered excellently, clearly and I found to be very informative and entertaining. Will be coming back again.
A great place to visit. Excellent information about the birds of prey and you can really get up close to them. The flying display was brilliant and the staff very knowledgeable. Definitely be visiting again when we are in the area.
So cool!! What an awesome experience. Leave 2-3 hours to enjoy it properly. There are 2/3 shows a day. Each show is about an hour, we stayed for two, one at 2pm and one at 4:15pm. Depending on the weather different birds are flown. Expect owls if it’s bad weather, raptors in the windy weather and eagles in the sunshine! The staff clearly know their stuff and the birds are so impressive, there is also a cute little cafe and a picnic area. It’s a 12 minute, very pretty walk, a little uphill from the town through a park. Great for families but also for adults. 10/10
Brilliant day out and value for money! The centre is well laid out and clean, the welcome was warm and it is great to see these birds being so well looked after. Each enclosure has useful information about each bird, but not so much that you spend all day reading. The falconry displays are a must. I've been to several of these at other places, but the ones here were very well done. A good mixture of information and humour and the star of the show are always the birds, who show you just how amazing and unique they are. The ticket allows you to come and go as you please throughout the day, so if you fancy a stroll into nearby Helmsley, this is entirely possible. All in all a really enjoyable and informative day out.
