Ellerby Residential Country Inn

We love The Ellerby so much that we’ve stayed over three times and enjoyed lunch there on several occasions. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with a warm welcome. The staff service is truly exceptional, other hotels and establishments could genuinely learn a thing or two from The Ellerby, as it’s a masterclass in customer care. The team can’t do enough for you, and they’re some of the friendliest people I’ve ever encountered. The food is outstanding, with plenty of delicious options for vegetarians like me. During our most recent stay, we had the Christmas lunch menu, which was fantastic. It was easily the best Christmas dinner I’ve ever had, and my companion completely agreed. Even the cider on tap was probably the nicest pint I’ve ever tasted. If you’re staying overnight, the rooms are spotless, cozy, and extremely comfortable, I truly couldn’t fault a thing. The breakfast menu is also excellent, offering a great selection and consistently delicious dishes. I honestly couldn’t recommend The Ellerby enough. Whether you’re staying overnight or simply popping in for lunch, you’re guaranteed a wonderful experience. This hotel is a definite 5/5 ⭐️

2nd year staying here. Our room was lovely and clean bed super comfy slept very well. We dined at night, our meal was lovely. Breakfast was so nice. The staff are so friendly and attentive. We had a nice walk in the morning beautiful place and area. See you next year already booked.

Food was absolutely delicious, and upon hearing us struggling to find a taxi back due to snowy roads and bus services being cancelled they kindly gave us a lift back to our hotel. Highly recommend this place, can’t wait to go back again. Thanks guys!

Today is the second time we have visited the Ellerby Inn. The food was excellent, great portions, piping hot and delicious. All the staff are so efficient and very friendly. The main bar has an open fire and is dog friendly, absolutely perfect. Can absolutely recommend.

We had a super mini break here - comfortable and warm accommodation with a lovely bathroom, and the such good food! The staff team - led by Kerry and Andy- really make everyone feel welcome. Thank You!
