Number Nine, The Marketplace

Number Nine is one of my favourite places to buy unique gifts, art, and generally feel inspired to create beautiful things. With regular new featured artists and artisan pieces, there is always something lovely to see. The owners are a delight. Friendly and helpful, but happy to just let you browse in peace. They host meet the artist evenings and a variety of workshops including pottery, art, journal making.... I've recently attended the Leafy Lane Pottery Workshop and the Tipperleyhill Mixed Media Floral Acrylics workshop. Thoroughly enjoyed them both. Highly recommend a visit.

A tantalising glimpse from the car window, resulted in an impromptu stop - thank heavens! This shop is a total delight, showcasing the beautiful and unusual, with a visually stunning range of unique art from very talented artists. From ceramics, to art, jewellery, leather goods and so much more, you’ll be sure to find something you’ll treasure and if you fancy having a go yourself, there are frequent workshops too! Sher and Hailey are incredibly welcoming and their passion for supporting the wealth of talent in and around the County (and beyond), is wonderful. Make sure you pop in next time you’re in Hornsea. My purchases have pride of place in our new home!

Number Nine Marketplace is an absolute gem: one of the best new additions to Hornsea in recent years. Not only does this wonderful space house a whole host of different creative individual's work, but they do great events for the local community. In the space you can browse and buy original artwork, jewellery, ceramics and clothes - amongst other items - all small batch or one of a kind pieces. In terms of events, they have pop-up stalls, small markets and workshops. I recently attended a fabulous workshop in collaboration with Tipperleyhill, which focused on abstract florals - acrylic on canvas. The experience was full of joy, laughter and creativity - well worth it.

I love visiting number nine. It is not just a shop but a place to go and try out new activities such as pottery classes. Hayley and Cher cannot do enough to make sure you have a lovely experience every time you go in. They do an amazing job of showing off all the local talent that the area has to offer. The artisan markets in the summer time are my favourite! There is so much variety and there is something for everyone. Well worth a visit if you are coming to Hornsea!

Love this place! Beautifully curated artisan shopping perfect for any occasion! Attended a wonderfully mindful workshop in the newly spruced up garden space- perfect end to a busy week- a gorgeous couple of hours where spent mindfully dotting with Sarah from @ebbandflo and hosted by the lovely Haley. Cannot recommend enough- get yourself booked onto one of the myriad of workshops- there is something for everyone!
