Hovingham Market

Description

Hovingham Village Market started in 2009. It is run entirely by volunteers.

It is open on the first Staurday of each month apart from January, from 10.30 to 2.30. It is held in the Village Hall and the Viallage Hall car park. There are normally about 30 stalls outdoors and a further 10 indoors.

Stall holders sell a wide range of fresh and processed food, and a variety of craft products.

The market encourages local producers, enables local groups to run a market café to raise funds, and has one a number of national and regional awards from, for example, the Countryside Alliance, The National Market Traders Federation, and Ryedale Rural Enterprise Awards.
