The New Inn Motel is a family-run establishment (having recently changed ownership) situated in a very quiet idyllic country village, priding itself on true Yorkshire hospitality! We are 9 miles north of the historic city of York, and are an ideal base for visiting York, The North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales, East Coast, Harrogate, Ripon and of course "Heartbeat" and "Herriot" country. The New Inn Motel is a great location for outdoor sports fanatics, walkers, cyclists and bird and wildlife watchers.

We want our guests to feel that The New Inn Motel is a ‘home from home’ and that each chalet is an extension of our own house. Unlike many other traditional B&B’s, at the New Inn Motel you can access your room via your own private front door and can come and go as you please! Take advantage of the sheltered walk way where you can stretch out on the benches and seating available outside the rooms. Guests can relax in the peace and quiet and soak in the sunshine – weather permitting!

Choose any one of the eight well-appointed chalets at The New Inn Motel for your stay, and you'll have a very comfortable break, long weekend or holiday. Each of the chalets has en-suite facilities, central heating, television, and a complimentary selection of hot beverages to make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. Wi-Fi is also available. Dog owners will be pleased to note that up to two well-behaved four legged companions are welcomed by prior agreement.

We have a private car park for guests; there is a great bus service to York and surrounding areas and only 10 mins to park and ride.

Guests can choose from single, double, twin and family chalets for their stay at The New Inn Motel. Naturally breakfast using quality ingredients from an award winning butcher is included in your stay, and is served daily in the dining room. The short stroll to the village of Huby is perfect for working up an appetite for lunch, dinner or supper in the evening.

The local area is exceedingly popular with sports enthusiasts, and has a plethora of golf courses, horse riding, pony trekking, squash, fishing, bowling and other facilities available. The well-known villages and locations used in the James Herriot and Heartbeat TV programs are to be found close by, and a day out in the beautiful and historic City of York is not to be missed: Enjoy the Minster, City walls, Jorvik Viking Centre, The Shambles, The National Railway Museum, York Castle Museum, The York Dungeon, Clifford's Tower, the Eboracum Legion Bathhouse, and York Maze, all from the comfort of The New Inn Motel.
