The quiet zone is not a quiet zone. The employees do not stop loud customers from disturbing people who want to study or job search. The employees are just as bad at being noisy. I would not recommend this library as a place to want to study in peace as the quiet zone has employees who are just as bad as a noisy customer.
Awful. If you are lucky enough to find an area that is open, don't even bother to try and connect to the WiFi, it'll stay on for 5 minutes then go off. Also the opening hours are terrible. It should be a wonderful place to go, but it's awful and a waste of money. The best thing is the staff who are wonderful, it's a shame they have to work on such a place
Visited the library this week to use the computed the staff at Hull Central where incredibly helpful
Good library to visit in the centre of Hull. Easily accessible with a ramp for wheelchair users and those of us who use a rollator. There's an on site cafe for snacks and drinks. The reference library is now situated on the 1st floor and is accessible by either stairs or the small lift. There is a toilet for the disabled on the 2nd flooor which is accessible by lift.
The children library is good, has a variety of books and activities for the kids. The library as a whole has no WiFi, so no research work can be done on the PC. Also, they lock their washrooms which is extremely inconvenient. Staff are sometimes too lazy to assist especially nearing closing time.
