Holiday Inn Hull Marina by IHG

We are currently staying in this lovely hotel ( room 126) Our first time at this particular hotel,although we have stayed in many holiday inns as we are passing through. Which have all been great. But the staff at this hotel are truly exceptional. From our arrival with the extremely helpful/friendly receptionist,who couldn’t do enough for you & security lady💞 And also house keeping delivering additional milk & coffee. But we must say the young gentleman who served us all evening in the bar with our drinks and evening meal was amazing. (I think he was a French gentleman,please forgive me if I have this wrong) But he was exceptional and served us all evening and was just so welcoming & friendly. He couldn’t do enough for us. All the staff we have met on our visit are such a credit to this hotel and have made our visit here wonderful. I thank all these amazing staff at the holiday inn marina view. Just had a fantastic weekend. Great location, yes there are roadworks but what is the hotel supposed to do about something that's totally out of their control so unfair to be negative about that. The staff are amazing. Very friendly welcome from the reception team. Rooms are clean and functional. Perfect for a visit to Hull. A big shout out to Louis and Andre from the F and B team. They show what true hospitality is! Attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable without being overbearing or pushy.

Stay was fine but I'd advise against food there - I stayed for a week with work amd every dinner was pretty horrid, I didn't finish anything. Th ceasar wrap was watery and wet which was very bizarre, the chicken and avocado sandwich also very weird in that the avocado was piping hot and everything else was cold so i dont think that was intentional, and I was charged despite my stay being dinner inclusive and its been two weeks now and ive still not been refunded despite many phone calls and promises. The room also wasnt the cleanest as there was long dark hair in my bath when I first arrived there and the carpet was really stained. Not the end of the world with it being a work trip, but I definitely wouldn't stay for leisure.

Had a lovely stay here, receptionist was lovely & so helpful. Sorry I didn’t get her name. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from & with Adam there I had a hot Oat milk latte. Thanks Adam 👍. Carpets are a bit worn & the taps in room a bit slow but nothing that lessened our experience. Location is perfect for walking into the Marina & town. Museums are a 10 minute, if that, walk. And they’re free. My second stay here & I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again if I’m ever up this way.

My wife and I found ourselves hungry and tired from walking around the marina area which is a revelation to see it so much changed. (I am 81 tears old and was born in the city of Hull and know a lot about the place). We called in at the hotel to see if we could get a light lunch and were greeted warmly and our dog was welcomed as well. The meal was superb and the pizza was by far the best I had ever been served anywhere. The staff were helpful and the place was warm and clean. We were served by a guy called Adam. We will certainly return. Robin Taylor.
