The Lexington Rooftop Bar & Terrace

We stayed at Doubletree by Hilton in Hull and took advantage of visiting The Lexington. The bar staff were great and very friendly! The interior is very aesthetically pleasing and well appointed. Everything feels very high end and good quality and it was a pleasure to sit in there for a few drinks. I think it’ll be better come the summer when it’s not as cold and rainy! Will definitely come back

After slow to get out of the starting blocks, overall a great visit and would recommend. We arrived 10 minutes early and the rooftop bar wasn't open or ready for Service so was asked to wait in the lobby until 12 o'clock which was the time of our reservation. The guy behind Reception came over to us at 1 minute to 12 and said they're still not ready yet but shouldn't be long, I explained our reservation was at 12 and we were under time restrictions so worried that if the service was slow we were going to end up rushing for the train. Anyway we were seated by 12.10 and ordered and served drinks by 12.20. The Afternoon Tea arrived 10 minutes later so they absolutely redeemed themselves after a hesitant start. The guy serving seemed to be on his own but it was quiet so he quite comfortably served food and drinks to every one in a calm and efficient manner. Very polite, friendly and a big smile, nothing was too much trouble. On to the food, there was so much of it, very good value for money considering it was a Groupon voucher, it even included a glass of Prosecco. there were 4 finger sandwiches each which were really fresh, often you find the sandwiches dry and crusty on Afternoon Tea, like they have been stood around a while, these were far from that! You then got a small sausage roll each which was warm, individual red velvet cake, individual carrot cake and a warm scone with jam and clotted cream. Great experience, highly recommend.

On behalf of my husband who was on a business trip - quite a nice bar with nice service! Sadly the view of Hull city ruins it! 😂 Could’ve done with a larger variety of soft drinks however as my husband is epileptic and doesn’t drink alcohol, they were only handed an alcoholic drinks menu to start with. But overall a pleasant experience at this bar! Rather quiet too apparently!🍹

Only popped in for a couple of drinks with a friend but staff were so welcoming and personable that we stayed all night. Special shout out to Amy and Simeon for the impeccable service and top tier banter. Drink recommendations were impeccable and they are the very definition of service with a smile! I know the Hilton already has an amazing reputation for first class service, but their service exceeded all expectations. We will definitely be returning to try the rest of the cocktails that they have to recommend!

A wonderful way to spend a hen. We did the afternoon tea and cocktail class. The food was gorgeous and they accommodated for Gluten free perfectly. The class was wonderful, and even after a few cocktails in we could still make a delicious cocktail. Spencer was very good at showing us how to make some dangerously delicious drink. 😋
