This is a great bar! Delicious beer and food at a very good price. The biggest advantage is the atmosphere and the service, especially from the staff member who was very polite, friendly, helpful, professional, and sociable. I will definitely return. Greetings from Poland!
Just called in after Google recommended. Smallest bar in Hull. Decorated themed Alice in Wonderland. Amazing range of drinks. The barman (Chris/Christian) gave such a warm welcome. Really great guy. Myself and my wife wanted to start the afternoon with a cocktail... he asked if we wanted to try one of his creations... absolutely we did! A green cocktail... pine apple and various spirits... expertly shaken and served. Poison Ivy it's name. Sweet but slightly sour. Frothy and tasty. Oh and strong! Due to the time of visit.. we got a baby Guiness shot as a freebie. Lovely little place... made the more better due to the friendly Chris and his service. We will be back no doubt!
The Mad Hatter is an okay spot, catering more to a younger crowd with a lively vibe. While it’s not exactly my scene, it does have its charm—especially with beers from Newsome Brewery on tap. A decent choice if you’re after a buzzing atmosphere and a good pint.
Absolutely brilliant little bar. The environment was welcoming and cosy, and the staff were so helpful as I didn’t know what cocktails i liked. They took song requests as well as letting me have a go on the playstation. The decor is awesome and a large range of drinks available too. Felt very welcomed and appreciated. Would definitely visit again!! Thank you
The Mad Hatter Cafe Bar is a nice cosy new bar. There is a good choice of draft beers, lagers, and cider. There is also a selection of bottled drinks. The large baked potatoes with lots of different toppings are excellent. They also do cheesy chips and wraps. The food is served until 4.30 pm. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and there is an open mic night on a Wednesday.
