Yesterday, we found another hidden gem in Hull, tucked away in a small side street off Whitefriargate. Liquid Jade has many, many black, green and white teas to drink (a refreshing change from coffee for us. Don't worry, cappuccinos, lattes etc are available too). We had the warm falafel salad with pitta bread and the beef panini. Delicious. For tea, we chose a pot each of the Yunnan Black Tea and the Rose Tea from China. Lovely pairings to our food. This will be a regular place to patronise whenever we're in Hull.

What a great find! I've been meaning to come here for ages and finally did today. Tucked away off Whitefriargate, you really would not know you're in the middle of a major city. Excellent and unusual tea and plenty of vegan options. Will definitely come back.

Why have I never been in Liquid Jade until today? I have no idea because it is absolute gorgeous! To be fair, it is tucked away through a passage at the side of The Works, but it obviously has a great following as lots of customers arrived during my prolonged tea and cake break. The main entrance into the cafe is via a short flight of steps but there is a lovely courtyard seating area which is just a few feet further on and on the level. Decor is lovely-lots of local photographs, splashes of bright sunny yellow and colourful furniture. The staff are lovely and service very quick. Good to see gluten-free cake options. I just had tea and gluten free cake but all the food looked and smelled very tasty. Will definitely visit again.

I visited Hull for a weekend, and you know what? I found my favorite spot here! It's an amazing place in Hull! The food was so delicious, and the menu is full of GF and vegan options. The halloumi salads, falafel wrap, and cheesy toast were really good. We also loved the matcha and the blue latte with spirulina—definitely worth a try! The place is full of cozy details, very clean and aesthetic. It has outside seating as well. It's located in the city center, but away from all the busy streets. So, if you want a quiet, lovely place with an amazing, smiling, and friendly team, this place is for you. They also have incredible options and so many varieties of teas, which you can enjoy while sitting there or take home. The lovely and super helpful lady, who is the owner, was super nice and mindful while we were choosing our teas! Highly recommend—don’t miss this spot in Hull!

Was in town, popped in a for a quick brew and to my surprise they do a breakfast now, bonus! As always staff and owner fantastic. Will have to find reason to be in town in the morning again, to try the Sausage butty.
