Me and my son ate here on 17/1/26 after our visit to The Deep and we really enjoyed it. I got the nduja pizza and my son had the tuscan sausage sandwich. I really like my pizzas spicy and this one did not disappoint. It was covered in jalapeños/chillies which I absolutely love. My son really enjoyed his sandwich too 👌 We also got 2 scoops of ice cream on the way out which was also lovely. Staff were really friendly and attentive too. The only reason I've knocked a star off for atmosphere is because we were seated at a higher table on stools, and would've preferred a regular table and chairs. We will definitely eat here again on our next visit!

Disappointing Visit to Bert’s Pizza and Gelato We were really looking forward to trying Bert’s Pizza in Hull, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The pizzas were a good size, but quite sloppy – you couldn’t easily pick up a slice to eat it, you had to cut it with a knife and fork. For the price, we expected better taste. The setting was nice and the staff were friendly enough, but overall the food didn’t justify the cost. Sadly, we wouldn’t return based on this experience.

Went to The Deep with my friends but first we came to this restaurant. I just want to say the restaurant looked nice. The staff were all young, friendly and bubbly. A young blonde lass served my friends and i at our table. She was very polite, courteous and helpful. It was a lovely start to our day. The only bad thing about the place was the state of the bathrooms. They wernt very well looked after. They could have done with a clean ie mop and wipe down. We still came back to the restaurant after our visit to The Deep for icecream. Thanks again

My wife had been here before with a friend but this was my first experience (though we had been to its original restaurant on the way to Hornsea). It’s easy to park with a large multi storey very close by but we managed to park for free on the street. It’s feels large inside when you walk in and has great views over the rivers Hull and Humber. Tables are well spaced. The serving staff were all friendly and helpful. We went for pizza so this narrowed down the menu for us to chose from. We ordered the antipasto board to start with which had a good selection of meats with bread. It took a while to decide what pizza to order (they have numbers rather than names) but we got there in the end. They have a wood fired oven so we’re looking forward to some crispy bases on the pizzas. We thought the topping were very good but the pizza bases were good rather than great as they weren’t as crispy as we had hoped. We still enjoyed them! We were quite full so didn’t have a dessert. Overall we thought £62 for the 2 of us for a beer, coke, shared starter and 2 pizzas was on the high side so not sure we will be back regularly.
