Popped in with two friends yesterday for brunch . It was busy which was nice to see on a Sunday for a small business, I got the beetroot and goats cheese focaccia sandwich and every bite was so delicious. Focaccia was absolutely perfect. My friend loved his sandwich too. If you like fresh , real food in a peaceful beautiful building - please go :)
I have been to B-Side twice now and both visits seriously delivered. The first time I had the Vegan Thai Shroom sandwich which was absolutely packed with flavour. The vegan Thai mayo was a standout, creamy, tangy and totally addictive. And the focaccia? Crisp, salty and just plain beautiful. It ties everything together. Second time around I went for the Hangover Breakfast Sandwich with sausage, bacon, egg and cheese, all from Norman’s the butcher. Top quality ingredients, super satisfying, and again that focaccia made it next level. Bonus points for having Mittel Pils on draught, a gorgeous Czech style lager from a small local brewery in Elvington near York. One of the best beers going right now and a perfect pairing with the food. B-Side nails it on every front with thoughtful ingredients, bold flavours and real care in everything they serve. Whether you are in the mood for plant based or meaty indulgence, it is a win either way.
Went here for the first time this weekend and enjoyed a lovely pizza. We went for the "New York" which was very tasty and parmesan truffle fries also nice but I think truffle flavour would be better if it was stronger. Loved the upstairs with cozy log burner and staff very friendly and attentive! Great little place!
We got the forccia sandwiches; one from the veggie and meat side. They were easy to talk to and weren't intimidating or didn't have that snoppy vibe that some cafe shops have. As it is off the corner from heron foods its good a place for a solo date because its not overwhelming. Really affordable as well. Loved the choice of music, so its definitely somewhere I would go again.
First visit but great place for amazing food with a very relaxed atmosphere. Definitely have to pop back and try the pizza!!
