Our first experience at GoldenFry was awesome! We tried the fish & chips based on a review we read after the location came up as one of the places for fish & chips close by. Their mushroom & onion gravy was so tasty. The fish was fresh and lightly crispy battered. Very friendly service. Thank you!
Possibly the best lunch I have had for £4.99. I wasn’t expecting much from a bit of fish in a bun but this may be the best battered fish I have had. The batter was so light, almost like tempura. The fish tasted very fresh and was cooked to order. The sun was out so sat at there seating area in front. They clearly genuinely care about their produce and care about their customers. Next time I’m in Hull I will certainly be back. Thank you 😊
We were recommended to visit The Golden Fry for fish and chips so we decided to give it a try because we had no idea if any were better or worse so a recommendation meant it was already ahead of the ones untried by others. We were not disappointed!! The fish and chips were excellent. We used the restaurant upstairs and the service was perfect and very friendly. The food was great (haddock and chips for each of us with drinks). The total bill was about £20 so very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place and I have no doubt we will be back.
We visited Hull from Sheffield to play adventure golf and we were looking for something to eat. We came across this place and the food was really nice. The lad behind the counter also gave us a free pattie. We've never heard of one or tried one but it was really nice! We'll come again the next time we visit Hull!
Absolutely gorgeous food and a reasonable price for the large amount you get. Staff are always pleasant and nice and welcoming so overall a really great chippy.
