I am today dumbfounded by the avenues medical practice. I have a long term illness for for which I have in the past been given top care from the avenues medical practice. Sadly now this practice has gone down hill with no continuity of care and GPS refusing to give proper pain for a cute bought of pain and taking medications away you have needed for years. Do not use theis practice
Only been with this surgery a couple of months and already issues, ring to make an appointment given one time to receive A text message the next day with a diff time. To them ring up and attempt to rebook to be told there are 2 slots that day but I would have to ring up at 8am the next day. How stupid when some patients actually work! Been immobile due to chronic pain and bed bound for 3 days is horrific let alone trying to make an appointment, great way to spend Christmas in pain and arguing with staff. Ring up the following day to be told the next one is 3 weeks time but previously told couldn’t pre book. Thats on top of been on hold for 12minutes with the staff totally unaware they had taken me off hold to listen to them discuss other patients and their prescriptions etc Currently in the process of looking for another gp
what a joke this surgery is now its a massive shame dr Thompson left as its gone down hill . couple of the drs dont listen and put what ever they like on your notes stress you out then say oh im going to check your bp then tell you its high ummm . i read on my app to ring the surgery about my blood results for the message to say your are number what ever then after 20 minutes the ringing starts then rings for another 20 minutes time to start looking for a new surgery
The experience I have had with this doctors is awful. It has taken multiple calls to get medicine I need, when I tried to talk to a doctor about mental health concerns I was cut off mid sentence. The receptionists are nice when I talk with them, however nothing ever is resolved. I regret trying to talk about my mental health here.
How people have given this surgery 5stars is an absolute joke! It's taken me 4days just to get a sick note ringing up 5times a day to do a 2min job! This has cause me great anxiety and loss of money through work! I never put complaints in but I will be moving doctors and putting in a formal complaint to the NHS every time I ring up staff are either have attitudes or not getting prescriptions right absolutely desguted the way I've been treated just lost a patient of 6years I wouldn't recommend the surgery to anyone!!!! 😡
