Good experience at Hull. It was busy but well organised. The vet was excellent and so were the nurses they cleaned my cats carry box which he had been sick in. The vet was careful and skilful examining my cat and he didn’t have to be sedated even though he is an anxious cat and previous vets have had trouble examining him. He went in to be examined for symptoms of hyperthyroidism. I would feel confident taking him back to PDSA in Hull if needed.
I rang pdsa as my 14 week old puppy was very poorly. The lady on the phone was rude and obnoxious. Stating I didn't have the right benefits which I told her I did. I ask if they was going to see my dog or not as i just needed her at a vets asap. She then shouted down the phone at me saying I was being abusive. My gorgeous puppy was limp and gasping for breaths which I explained to her on the phone. She was more bothered about an outstanding amount that I could not pay until the 26th then my puppies life. I then had to ring around and medi vet was the only other available vet in Swanland. My poor baby died on the way to that vets. But if the woman on the phone had not been rude and argued with me for 10 to 15 mins about an amount that I would of paid next week then my darling dutchess she may of still been here giving me cuddles. I am utterly heart broken and shattered. Medi vet where absolutely amazing and could not fault how they handled her and myself sobbing.
The Service is amazing, vets are fighting for pet life, even if owner decides to put animal sleep, vets give a chance to pet to fight for life himself as well. My cat had minimal chance to survive, but vets have done best for him. A huge thanks from Mix to all who cared about him. People please do donations to PDSA as even £10 a month's can safe one life.
Absolutely terrible! Rushed my brothers dog in as he was really ill and falling all over to be told sorry were not taking on new patients and to go private. I said hes registered but they took him off as the dog hadnt needed help in sometime. They wouldnt see the dog and had to leave even though the poor dog needed help. Some charity that Is. Never put a healthy dog down but theyll happily leave one to die in pain while the owner begs and begs. No compassion no care. Shame on you
Having being able to go to the PDSA for nearly 30 years, I called the Hull branch last Monday because my poor dog was really ill. I was told that because I hadn't taken her to vets for 3 years,we have been discharged! You don't take them if they're not ill just like a human doesn't go to Dr's unless they're unwell. They point blank refused to see her! What happened to the PDSA being caring for people and pets that need it?? All down to money and greed!! My girl had to be pts and I'm heartbroken. That probably wouldn't have changed but the PDSA has become the same as every other vets. Motivated by greed.
