I used to love it in here. It’s just gotten so expensive. I understand things might have a higher value online, but you come to a charity shop for a bargain. Or when you’re setting up your first home, leaving care, new to the country. I know it’s frustrating when resellers buy and sell on, and I think that’s might be part of the prices rising, but those people still are giving money for stuff you got for free. I come often and again and again see things priced way too high, sitting around for ages and eventually being discounted… and THEN they sell. This is hull. And this is a charity shop, while things might sell for a certain price online, people wandering into a charity shop on an industrial estate are not going to be able to pay it. The stock room at the back never used to be as full as it is now and I think it’s because stock isn’t moving, because it’s priced too high. Surely they’d want to keep things moving? Just really frustrating. I know the money goes to charity, but I’d be able to give more if I could actually pay it! Bring back old fashioned Emmaus pricing. I’ve seen them ‘Google lens’ price things off what things have gone for online before, but when you go into a shop, you look with your eyes. Not what something sold for somewhere else. I wish things would be priced like they used to. Such a shame. Worth coming here when there’s a sale on but not otherwise as it is. I’d rather just donate to Emmaus at this point than have a bit of overpriced furniture to show for it.

Absolutely amazing! Such a great selection of furniture, antique and modern, all for incredible prices. I’ve never left here empty handed (unless I’m getting a delivery). You’ve got to go semi-regularly, as all the stock changes constantly. All the volunteers are always so kind and very helpful, and the delivery staff are always a pleasure. They’ll ring you before they leave the previous house to let you know they are on route.

This place is awesome. I have made loads of friends there and the furniture and stuff they sell is top notch. If you have never visited Emmaus Hull before then it's you that's missing out.

Absolutely awful place, one member of staff walking around shouting to his mates! Practically shoved me out of the way when I was trying to look at electricals! Again to shout something rude to his friend! I'm all for supporting charity but teach your staff some basic manners

Staff at this charity shop are very friendly. The delivery guys were amazing, a four hour window delivery was allocated when I made the purchase and on the day they called half an hour earlier.
