I have been coming to lonsdale for many years, I've shopped at the charity shop and occasionally gone to the toddler group, and never faulted this place, today I went to the Foodbank with a friend who is also struggling and was not made to feel welcome at all, when we first came in we both signed in separately as we live in different households, Emma signed us in and she was lovely yet when it was my friends turn to sign in a woman called Nikki confronted me asking if we where together, I told her no we are friends and I told my friend about the food bank, she then went to stand over my friend to check his address while he signed in, when he looked up to ask what the matter was, she said I thought you where together, he said we aren't so why the attitude? She replied 'if you don't like it foff, we both left empty handed as we didn't feel welcome, no food for myself and my child now until I get paid on Friday thanks to Nikki, I would of thought a volunteer for a food bank would have a little more compassion, I will never return.

I don't actually use the centre but I take my autistic grandaughter there to do craft work with other autistic people. She's found a friend who has transformed her life so any place that works well for my complex family is good with me.
