HJZ Plumbing

We had our bathroom done by Hjz last year and it's been a complete nightmare and waste of money ever since, after they'd finally finished. Due mainly to the incompetence of the lead contractor and his 7 attempts seal the bath and shower all failed each time. We started to notice the multitude of defects and other damage to items, whilst in the process of gathering advice on what to do online. (Which was unanimous of that's appalling and take them to court,) did one of the subcontractors come forward and basically told us that HJZ had ripped us off and cut corners and bodged things, dismissively ignoring the subcontractors concerns about quality and safety. Each time Hjz just told him the customer won't notice and as long as it holds it'll be fine. He also told us that the new lights weren't installed correctly because the cabling wasn't secured, and that cables were damaged during the installation of the floor, we got an electrician in to check the work they'd done and he found a live cable still connected from the old electric shower. After 3 weeks we received an email for the final invoice, which had gone up again, our final bill was now £3000 over our original quote, during the process of gathering evidence I found out that the VAT number on the invoice was invalid, so after all the extra hidden costs and damage he'd basically given himself a 20% tip on top of that. We agreed to have a meeting but it was utterly pointless because it was clear he and his subcontractors were just lying to cover themselves. All parties agreed to have this meeting voice recorded, during which Hjz admits the work isn't up to standard and takes full responsibility. Yet he's still done nothing to rectify any of the issues. We began legal action which was costly and didn't get us very far because he basically denied everything in his response to our solicitors, even his own terms and conditions. He's tried to bully us into silence and have our reviews taken down, he tried to sue us for 13k for defamation, but unfortunately for him this is only possible if we lied so thst didn't work. After I tried to warn people on his social media, he called the police on me for harassment. The police officer was also appalled by the quality of work and reassured me if I go through small claims court we'd win easily. So that's were we're at nearly a year and a half later. Beware of this dishonest cowboy conman!!

Henry was fantastic. Came out at short notice to repair a corroded pipe under my kitchen sink. He was efficient, tidy and friendly. He finished the job quickly and was extremely reasonable with his prices. He saved the piece of pipe he had removed to show me what the issue had been. Thank you Henry, I'll definitely use your services again!

HJZ Plumbing have just finished a week’s work with us and we couldn’t be happier. They removed our old sunken bath and installed a brand new shower with tiling.
