Gladstones Jewellers

We used Gladstones for our wedding rings in July 2025 and couldn’t be happier with the rings themselves and with the service we received from start to finish. We had a really helpful appointment to choose the styles we wanted having gone into the shop not knowing what we were looking for. The selection was great and we left feeling confident that we’d found the perfect rings. When they arrived the rings were even better than we’d hoped and we’ve received so many compliments. Thank you so much for everything.

Used for 3 pieces of jewellery now. First was for a broken gold bracelet, fantastic job, quick turn around and good price. Second was a wishbone ring I was gifted from my mum which was missing a small sapphire and was cracked again wonderful job and they straightened it and did a wonderful job. Sadly the third is what leads me to the 1 start review. I found a vintage gold and sapphire ring in a second hand store and fell in love with it, we decided that we was going to return it to its former glory and have it an my engagement ring. Brought it here for a resize, cleaning and fixing due to missing prongs around the sapphire. Anyways dropped it off and then was told it would be ready after a week. Left a contact number and a deposit. So upon collection first time round we collected the ring and it was horrible. I cried they told me when they’d taken the gem out to replace the prongs it was broken so they’d tried to seal it and massivly failed leaving the ring looking awful! So returned and explained the situation and surprisingly was told that the jewler had struggled with the ring and was unhappy with how he’d done but had given it back anyways. So they then took it back and redid it they filed down the resin they’d placed over the gem to try and keep its shape and redid the prongs again. Anyways now fast forward a few months I’d taken off the ring to clean it and noticed there was a crack in it. Where they have resized the ring it has already started cracking and showing. So disappointed because it is a beautiful ring and when buying it I didn’t notice many flaws and yet since it’s been here it’s become a nightmare. Worst part is if they’d have just contacted us first time around and told us about the gem and the issues I would have been prepared to pay for the full stone to be replaced if that is what it would have taken to do the job correctly the first time. I wouldn’t recommend these if the item of jewellery has any significance or meaning because unfortunately the experience has not been good I am now in hopes to find a jeweller who can hopefully salve the ring :( but worried it’s had that bad of a job done the ring may be unsaveable . So photos attached first one is the ring when we bought it second is the first time repair where you can see the bad prongs and bodge save on the stone third is the ring after it had been back and we had agreed we was happy to take it. Fourth is the crack where you can see they have added to the band to resize it.

We chose Gladstones to make our wedding rings. From the start they were helpful and friendly. They had so many options that it was honestly so hard to choose the best! They kept in good contact, making sure we knew of any delays so we didn't panic. The rings look superb, honestly perfect. Thank you!
