I just wanted to give these a nice review as I came over from Leeds to buy a fish today - if you want some larger specimens (which are always very hard to find) this is a really good place to come. I got a very nice synspilum and the price was excellent, as was the customer service. For those with larger tanks I’d say this is worth the journey. Thanks once again and also thank you for correctly packaging the fish for me in a polystyrene box, he was just as lively when he got home and is clearly a very healthy fish. Also the shopkeeper made a really good recommendation, if you do transport fish reasonably long distances a portable/USB powered air pump is a great idea for welfare, I didn’t know they made such a thing so hopefully this is useful to someone. Also if you’re in the area check out Octopus8 as they recommended this place to me, their selection of tropical fish is comparatively quite limited but I appreciate the honest advice and recommendation of a solid local business.

Really friendly and knowledgeable. Fish good size and healthy at sensible money with special offers for ideal numbers for the fish type. Highly recommend also had a great range of plants will not be going anywhere else in future.

Asked if Neon Terra would be ok with my 3 angel fish🐠. I bought 10 Neon within seconds one of the angels slurped up a neon..! I got down to 6 left. The angel that was the culprit For eating them finally it ate one to big and I found the angel😇 had gone to heaven having being found floating with a neon's tail sticking out of its its mouth both dead. Good News is a week later and I still have 6 neon's left and the 2 angels. My advice if buying Neon Terra to go in with angels get the biggest & healthiest ones you can. If the angels grow bigger you may have to separate in the end. I also put the angels in a floating containment tank for 24 hours with the neon's in close proximity flying around the container at first the angels were lunging at them open mouthed but eventful realised it couldn't get them and began ignoring them.! When I realised the angels back into the community area they continued to ignore the neon tetra. Just the odd lunge.

Brilliant aquatics shop, definitely know there stuff

The staff are wonderful. Done a full fish re set and couldn’t be happier with the selection of fish. The staff also gave me a lot of knowledge that I didn’t know. 10/10
