Welcome to Yorkshire

Published on January 20th, 2023

Here at Yorkshire.com we're celebrating pets and pet-lovers with a giveaway of the new book "Happy Dog, Happy You" by Verity Hardcastle in time for National Love Your Pet Day on 20th February:

Verity Hardcastle with her dogs

Verity is an award-winning groomer from Yorkshire best known for her appearances on Crufts (Channel 4) and as a judge on Pooch Perfect (BBC 1). She has now compiled everything new and experienced dog owners alike need to know, in a comprehensive dog guardianship manual focusing on building a mindful, happy relationship with our four-legged friends. The book covers everything from choosing the right breed to beautiful bonding exercises like dog massage and yoga – or doga!

This is an excellent time for such an accessible guide to dog care. Pet ownership increased dramatically during the pandemic, with the number of UK households owning a dog jumping from 22% to 33% in 2020/21. Happy Dog, Happy You will be a lifesaver – a warm, encouraging read encompassing everything new and experienced dog lovers need to know.
