Jo Coburn’s Vision

Jo Coburn, the Centre Director at Victoria Leeds, expressed excitement about this year's Fashion Week. She stated,

“This year’s Fashion Week offers a truly elevated experience, bringing together iconic luxury brands, expert styling moments and a showstopping runway event. It reflects Victoria Leeds as more than a retail destination, but a place where fashion, creativity and experience come together.”

This vision emphasises the aim of making Victoria Leeds a hub of style and creativity.

Supporting Smart Works

Victoria Leeds is proud to partner with Smart Works, a charity that helps unemployed women gain the clothing, coaching, and confidence needed to secure jobs. All ticket sales from the Fashion Week runway show will be donated to this worthy cause, supporting women in the local community as they strive for employment and transformation in their lives.

Immersive Style Pods

Throughout the Fashion Week, six immersive installations known as Style Pods will be available for visitors at the Victoria Quarter and Victoria Gate. Each pod will feature unique styles from various iconic brands, allowing guests to step inside editorial-inspired environments that reflect the world of fashion publishing.

Fashion lovers can explore four key style directions:

  • The Modern Minimalist: Simple and sleek designs.

  • The Refined Bohemian: Relaxed yet sophisticated looks.

  • The Artful Expressionist: Bold and creative outfits.

  • The Heritage Sophisticate: Classic styles with a modern twist.

The Dressing Room Experience

On 9th May, The Dressing Room will be introduced outside John Lewis at Victoria Gate. This exclusive styling experience, led by renowned stylists Laura Fawcett and Ruth Preston, aims to help guests understand their personal style.

The session will include:

  • A 20-minute personalised consultation.

  • An express colour analysis to determine individual style seasons.

  • Guidance on refining a capsule wardrobe.

Participants will need to make a donation to secure a booking, with all proceeds going to Smart Works. Walk-in spots will also be available from 1 PM to 2 PM on a first-come-first-served basis.

The Fashion Show and Afterparty

The main event, the Fashion Show, will take place on 14th May at Victoria Gate from 7 PM to 9 PM. Hosted by broadcast journalist Michelle Eagleton, this runway show will present the defining style pillars and showcase looks from top retailers such as John Lewis, Harvey Nichols, and The White Company.

With seated tickets already sold out, standing room tickets are still available for those eager to experience the excitement.

As the runway event concludes, guests are invited to an exclusive afterparty at Habbibi, a Middle East-inspired restaurant on Level 3 of Victoria Gate. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue the evening surrounded by good company and great food.

Notes on Fashion Live

The Fashion Week will wrap up on 17th May with ‘Notes on Fashion Live’ at The Cut & Craft. This event will feature a live discussion hosted by Michelle Eagleton, alongside celebrity stylist Karen Williams.

Guests can look forward to engaging conversations about personal style, key fashion movements, and building a thoughtful wardrobe. The event will also include a live Q&A session, allowing attendees to share their thoughts and ideas about fashion.
