Movie “Emily” set for 14 October 2022 Release

Warner Bros UK has the rights to the movie Emily (2022), which is a biographical film about Emily Brontë, filmed in Yorkshire.

The movie has been announce for a 14 October 2022 release date, and yesterday (11 August 2022) Warner Bros released the official trailer; which Welcome to Yorkshire are publicising via our YouTube channel.

About Emily

The movie was written and directed by Frances O’Connor in her directorial debut, and was filmed in Yorkshire between April 16 and May 26 of 2021, which if you recall, was during relatively tight covid regulations, making the shoot quite an intimate affair – apparently the case had to share a home for the duration of filming!

Movie release dates

Emily had its world premiere in the Platform Prize lineup at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.

Bleecker Street has acquired the US distribution rights for the film, with a release year slated for 2023.

Warner Bros acquired the UK rights in 2021, and has announced that it will release UK-wide on 14 October 2022.
