International Women's Day: Walk in the Brontë's Footsteps

Welcome to Yorkshire

Published on March 8th, 2021

To celebrate International Women's Day, let's take a walk in the footsteps of some truly inspirational Yorkshire women.

Charlotte, Emily and Ann wrote their literature in the village of Haworth, inspired by the surrounding landscape.

This walk will take you through some of the landscape and to Top Withens, thought to be the inspiration for Wuthering Heights which appeared in the book of the same name by Emily Brontë.

The walk will take you on the paths these women were sure to walk on. The beautiful thing is that not a great deal of it will have changed since they did.
