•Yorkshire is home to two National Parks that make the perfect locations to enjoy the Dark skies.

In December 2020 they were both designated an International Dark Skies reserve by the International Dark-Sky Association. The locations of both parks with lowlight pollution levels, set the perfect dark skies scene to enjoy the magnificent experience the night sky has to offer. That may be the Milky Way, stars, meteor showers and the Northern Lights plus much more!
To protect the night sky and keep light pollution to a minimum both National Parks have information on how to stop the spread of pollution which also benefit a person’s health and wildlife of the night.
