Had quite a disappointing experience at Airedale Heifer this evening. We were a group of three, two meals were perfectly fine, however our third friend’s meal arrived freezing cold in the middle. We waved over a waiter and then waited around fifteen minutes for it to be returned, only for it to come back barely warmer and clearly having been microwaved. By the time it was returned, the rest of us had already finished our meals. When we raised the excessive wait, we were completely ignored by the staff member. Our friend went ahead and ate the now soggy meal rather than send it back again. Hoping to salvage the evening, we decided to order pudding, but for the best part of half an hour not a single staff member came anywhere near our side of the restaurant, despite us clearly waiting. Eventually, we chose to leave and spoke to the man behind the bar on the way out. We politely asked whether they were understaffed and received nothing more than a vague grunt in response. When we then raised the issue of the wait and lack of service, he replied condescendingly that we “weren’t the only people in the restaurant,” and refused to give his name or direct us to a manager. Overall, this experience left a very bad taste in our mouths and fell well below the standard we expected. I will reiterate that our two meals were great, however if you come here make sure you sit near the bar and dont catch the bartender in a grumpy mood.

Fabulous looking pub with a great choice of food. Had the Holy Cow Pie with chips and peasant it was beautiful. Plenty of steak and mushroom filling and lively pastry. The chips were wonderful and could be swapped for mash if preferred. Had the warm chocolate fudge cake for dessert and I can recommend that too. Thank you very much to the staff who were attentive but not invasive.

Went for my birthday , a party of 14. We pre ordered and food was brought super quick and piping hot. We had a variety of dishes and all were fabulous. I had the pie and can vouch for it being one of their best dishes . The meringue for dessert was so big I had to leave some. The waitress was lovely unfortunately I didn’t get her name.

Lovely meal pre Christmas catch up with family. Food excellent I had steak sizzler. Really enjoyed. A we all did.only down side was the coffee not hot enough. Also a long wait for it to arrive. But we love eating it here lovely pub.maybe a little short staffed. But no complaint. As its difficult to know staff levels in these times.
