I attended the pharmacy with a valid prescription for medication to treat a toothache. Despite the prescription being lawful and presented in good time, I was refused service solely because I arrived around five minutes before the pharmacy’s lunch break. I find this unacceptable and unprofessional. Refusing to dispense prescribed medication due to an imminent break, rather than any clinical, legal, or safety reason, falls well below the standard of care I would expect from a healthcare provider. I was in pain at the time, and this refusal caused unnecessary distress and delay in receiving treatment. I would like clarification on whether this behaviour aligns with your company’s policies and NHS service standards, and I ask that this matter be investigated. I would also appreciate reassurance that steps will be taken to ensure patients are not refused essential medication in similar circumstances in the future.
Rang asda as I had someone close to me in dire need of his medication but as it was good Friday his normal pharmacy was shut. When I called asda I got rudely spoken to by a female member of staff when I tried to explain my situation they fobbed me off. I really hope the conversations are recorded because not only do they need training in communication skills but just an overall refreshment on how to do the job properly. She seemed stressed about being at work when it's good friday. (I think she had the pub on her mind or something) I'm really disappointed with asda and I will never be returning here for medication. **AVOID THIS PHARMACY**
Very handy to have in Asda but think staff could smile more and be more polite, although there is 2 very polite staff the rest are a bit depressing
Went for a flu jab, lady behind the counter just pushed the scanning leaflet towards me and told me to fill in. Filled in and then went through to have the jab. Lady clinician asked why I had filled in the form, explained I worked for a charity and had a code for a free jab. Said in quite a dismissive way I shouldn't have filled in the form and she would have to start the questions again. I said at no point was anything explained to me. She was sighing and rude. I said I would just pay for the jab as needed it in my role as working with vulnerable clients etc. Kept on sighing and saying I shouldn't have filled in the form. Left with no flu jab after having it there for 14 years with usually a lovely gentleman. Also the young guy behind the counter spent more time talking to his friend rather than address the queue in front of him.
Website says 9am to 9 pm opening times but when you arrive at 1 pm a tatty board says closed for lunch..... that's not what in store or online hours say. Told they have to legally have lunch, well yes but take it in turns to keep the service running. Staff attitude when questioned is poor and customer service is nine existent. And the government tell you to make use of pharmacist rather than your GP.........
