I visited this place recently for work. It appears to be a good place for kids to swim. They have two small pools and slide for kids to enjoy water play. However, the building needs an upgrade, which is why I was there. Once the work is completed, it will be a wonderful place to take your kids for a swim.
Today i over came my anxieties, due to my poor mobility, and plucked up the courage to go swimming.Am activity i once loved when i was fully mobile. The reception lady was fantastic and she asked other staff to let me look round and talked me through the whole process. They were all great and made me feel at ease.I also met some other lovely people in the pool.Cant wait to go again.Thankyou to Ibrahim for the BEEP referral. X
Very underwhelming experience unfortunately. I visited as a carer along with a gent with special needs. We arrived slightly late for the additional needs swim (1:15pm) but I assumed that we could still go in for the remainder of this, and then stay on for the main swimming session. Unfortunately this wasn't possible, as I was informed that staff have a break in between sessions and obviously the pool isn't monitored during this, so we had to go back into the car to wait 45 mins until 2pm. Luckily my gent didn't mind too much. We paid entry which was £3 (something), which was a great price. The pool was a lot smaller and cooler than I expected and the flume was closed, which disappointed my guy, as he loves them ! The staff were very friendly and helpful but just didn't get the experience we expected.
Visited after the refurbishments, the only difference seems to be some areas painted and the showers were new, but very low pressure. Everything else looks the same as it was pre-refurbishment. Staff were lovely but everywhere was dirty, lots of rubbish laying around and old plasters on the floor, and it wasn't even that busy. On top of all this, it was very expensive for swimming especially paying for all the family. Craven swimming pool is much better and cleaner, and worth a drive over.
Great staff and facilities. Rather busy in the gym but everyone acted friendly
