The Feathers Hotel

Good food and service excellent. Room clean ,tidy but in need of a few cosmetic issues being resolved Such as bathroom fittings needing securing and out of character rubber plugs used in basin and bath. That aside very good value for money. Breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice.

went in here for a meal - 4 adults 2 children one with autism so he would not sit still at a table. staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. meal was decent too. defo recommended by us. My only issue and a very minor issue too, - and most pubs do this, - they did not serve the child's meals first. i personally would always bring out child meals before adult meals - that aside - excellent!!

Had meals and drinks recently September 2025 with my husband and 2 friends. Food was average at the best but what was most upsetting when 3 days later we got a Civil Enforcement fine of £100 for parking in there designated parking area. Have contacted Feathers Hotel both by phone and email with proof of meals and drinks purchased but they are not able or prepared to help overturn this fine. Surely the hotel has some control over their own car park. We are not the first to be caught out with this disgraceful practice . We will never go again and definitely not recommend. Please be wary of this practice.

The Hotel is great. We stayed in the new Annex. The Room was very comfortable and had everything you need. The location was great, My only criticism is that the carpark is not well signposted from the street. Or should I say I didn't see it, if it were there.

I came here on Wednesday evening at 5pm for the tea time special, the food was lovely however the service was not. One of the staff members blatantly ignored me multiple times as I was leaving and said thank you, she was too busy gossiping with the bar staff. I thought she was rude and unprofessional and it's common curtesy to reply to customers politely and not ignore them.
