We called at Nostell Priory National Trust as a break in our journey and overnight stay at The Yorkshire Wildlife Park. There is a large carpark ,NT members scan their membership cards to get a ticket , non members have to pay. From there we walked towards the house and gardens. The house is not open on a Monday and Tuesday until Easter but we walked around the garden and lake areas, it was a bit wet and windy but still lovely to see. There are also acres of woodland/ park areas which seemed very popular with dogowners . The previous stable block now houses a cafe, shop, 2nd hand book store and toilets. For the better weather there is a large outdoor eating area.

Came here for parkrun on a Saturday morning. The carpark is free to park runners while they are running, provided they display a parkrun barcode in the car. It is a National Trust carpark so free to members or £4 otherwise. Nostell gardens are absolutely stunning to run round, really scenic and I only saw the section we were running on. There is way more to explore. Lots of park runners and dog runners on a Saturday morning. Still loads of carpark space and the grounds are massive too so plenty of space for people to walk. There's also a cycle path somewhere in the grounds as one of the parkrun marshals mentioned it!

Large car park. Blue Badge holders park free. Has disabled parking bays. Last entry into parkland 6pm and gates get locked at 7pm. £5 all day. £3 after 3.30pm. Or, if you are a member of the National Trust, parking is free, ahhhh, music to my ears. Membership soon pays for itself with charges like these.

Great easy car park, there’s enough spaces if you get there earlier in the day. It’s free for national trust members if not then it’s £5 a day and £3 after 3:30pm
