Practice Manager & Paraplanner – SJP Experienced (Remote) Location: Primarily remote, with occasional Hertfordshire meet-ups Hours: 37.5 hours per week full time (part-time considered) Salary: On application, experience dependent Engagement: Employed Are you an experienced Paraplanner who's already worked within a St. James's Place Partner Practice ? We're a growing, values-led financial planning practice looking for someone who combines excellent technical paraplanning skills with strong organisational ability and a genuine passion for looking after clients. This is a varied role where you'll remain actively involved in paraplanning whilst helping oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, supporting and developing our apprentice, and ensuring every client receives the thoughtful, proactive service they deserve. We're looking for someone who naturally takes ownership, thinks ahead and asks themselves, "If this were my client, what would I do next?" What You'll Be Doing You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of Naomi Haynes Financial Planning, remaining hands-on with technical work whilst coordinating day-to-day operations and supporting the wider team. Client Servicing Taking ownership of the client journey from enquiry through to ongoing servicing. Building strong relationships with clients and ensuring they always feel informed, supported and valued. Coordinating client meetings, documentation and ongoing communications. Responding promptly to client enquiries and seeing actions through to completion. Anticipating client needs wherever possible, rather than simply responding to requests. Looking for opportunities to make every client interaction smoother, simpler and more personal. Technical Paraplanning Producing high-quality Suitability Letters and Review Letters. Undertaking research and technical analysis. Working closely with Naomi and future advisers to deliver clear, personalised financial planning recommendations. Maintaining exceptionally high standards of technical accuracy and presentation. Business Processing Overseeing the submission and progress of new business through Salesforce and SJP systems. Monitoring outstanding actions and ensuring cases progress efficiently. Helping ensure every case moves smoothly from recommendation through to completion. Practice Operations Managing inboxes, diaries and operational workflows. Maintaining the smooth day-to-day running of the practice using established systems and processes. Supporting compliance requirements and internal reporting. Helping ensure deadlines are met and clients remain informed throughout their journey. Supporting & Developing the Team Supporting, mentoring and developing our Junior Paraplanner & Administrator throughout their apprenticeship. Delegating appropriate work whilst remaining accountable for quality and client outcomes. Reviewing completed work, providing constructive feedback and helping develop confidence, technical knowledge and excellent client habits. Working alongside the apprentice to gradually increase their responsibilities as their skills develop. Coordinating workloads between yourself, the apprentice and external support where appropriate. Working with External Partners Managing relationships with outsourced PSS (Practice Support Staff), virtual assistants, marketing professionals and other specialist providers. Helping ensure everyone involved with the practice works together efficiently to deliver an outstanding client experience. Where appropriate, providing paraplanning or operational support to other SJP Partner Practices, offering additional variety and opportunities to broaden your experience. Technology Confidently using Salesforce, Microsoft Office and SJP systems. Embracing AI and technology to improve efficiency, reduce administration and enhance client communications. What We're Looking For Essential Previous experience within a St. James's Place Partner Practice. Strong paraplanning experience, including producing Suitability and Review Letters. Excellent working knowledge of Salesforce and relevant SJP systems. Outstanding organisation and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple deadlines. Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely. A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
