HR Manager Location: Leeds (with travel to Rugby as required) Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE Job Type: Full-Time Are you an experienced HR Manager who enjoys being fully involved in every aspect of HR rather than simply overseeing a team? Our client is looking for an experienced, proactive and hands-on HR Manager to take ownership of the HR function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and being involved in all aspects of HR, from day-to-day operations through to strategic people initiatives. The role is primarily based at the company's Leeds site however, they also have offices in Rugby, so the successful candidate must be happy to travel between locations when required to support the wider business. This is a standalone role where you will be responsible for delivering the full HR function, making it ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy and wants the opportunity to put their own stamp on the role. As the business continues to grow, there is genuine potential for this position to develop into a more senior leadership role, with the opportunity to build and lead your own HR team in the future. The Role As HR Manager, you will be responsible for: Taking full ownership of the HR function across the business. Managing the day-to-day HR operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of HR services. Being hands-on in every aspect of HR, supporting managers and employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle. Managing onboarding, performance management, promotions and offboarding. Managing complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary investigations and hearings, grievances, absence management, performance management and appeals. Advising, coaching and supporting managers to ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with UK employment legislation. Leading recruitment activities, from advertising vacancies through to interviewing and onboarding new employees. Managing and supporting TUPE transfers, organisational change and consultation processes where required. Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation. Reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. Leading HR projects and driving continuous improvement across the HR function. Building strong relationships across the business and acting as a trusted advisor to senior management. About You We're looking for someone who enjoys being operational as well as strategic and is happy to lead from the front. You'll have: Proven experience in a hands-on HR Manager position. Extensive employee relations experience, including managing disciplinary investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances and performance management. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrable experience managing TUPE transfers and organisational change projects. Excellent knowledge of UK employment law. CIPD Level 5 qualified as a minimum (Level 7 desirable) or equivalent experience. A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel between the Leeds and Rugby sites when required. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to prioritise a varied workload in a busy, fast-paced environment. A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach.
