Spa is excellent and facilities are not too shabby. But the parking and car park exsit is not worth the top money DUCAN and his team want times money and all that and am stuck here nit been able to vacate ridiculous should be a PURE GYM NOT A BANNATYNE

Extremely disappointing experience. The facility is unhygienic and poorly maintained. • Toilets are frequently out of order. • Ceilings and bathrooms show visible mould, creating an unsafe environment—especially for anyone with asthma or breathing issues. • The steam room appears to have algae buildup, which is unacceptable for a place meant for health and relaxation. Management seems unfit to handle the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility. I would strongly advise avoiding this place until proper maintenance and hygiene standards are implemented.

I can’t recommend this gym highly enough! The facilities are excellent – always clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you could need, whether you’re into weight training, classes, or just keeping fit at your own pace. What really sets this gym apart, though, is the atmosphere and the people. The staff are always welcoming, professional, and genuinely go out of their way to help. A special mention goes to Molly and Daisy, who have both been amazing whenever I’ve needed assistance. Their excellent customer service has made things so much easier for me, especially when it came to renewing my membership – everything was handled quickly, smoothly, and with a friendly approach that really makes all the difference. The whole environment here is friendly, supportive, and motivating, which makes coming to the gym something I actually look forward to. If you’re looking for a local gym, I’d strongly advise popping in to have a look around. You’ll see for yourself not only the quality of the facilities, but also how welcoming and approachable the staff are.

After a long absence the staff were very warm and welcoming, Genevieve always at the front greeting everyone with a smile. I had the pleasure to also speaking to the amazing Molly, who’s always caring and took time out from her day to ask how I was and was genuinely emphatic upon why I hadn’t attended My only gripe would be unfortunately the equipment is still very dated ad could do with a refresh in all of the training area Thank you Molly once again for taking time out and showing you care The whole organisation should clone you and put you in every gym. I have been going to this gym since it was called virgin active was it has been years. However since bannatyne has taken over i have noticed a decline in the hygiene and overall maintenance of this place. Everyday i go there is either bits of rubbish in the showers, and today i went there was a shower that had a pipe hanging of it. I am not making this review to complain as i will always love this gym however the maintenance and cleanliness of this place has got to improve. Just been and clearly dont care about reviews just seen black mold on the roof of the mens changing rooms
