Stunning theatre venue in the heart of the University of Leeds campus. Runs a program of professional and student made work throughout the year. Is a fully disabled accessible building with a decent sized disabled loo. All levels of the theatre can be accessed in a wheelchair ( even the lighting grid!) There is a bar in the foyer and a nice friendly atmosphere. The downside is the disabled parking still has to be paid and is also a short distance from the venue. But having said that I've seen lots of fantastic shows here because it's so much easier to get into than many of the other theatres in town.
I saw an amazing medieval storytelling by Daisy Black there. Excellent black box theater.
Stunning debut by writer director Andie Curno! Swallowing the Whale is moving and perceptive.
Keep coming back, so nice to see what the studenrs of the University of Leeds have to offer every year. Great performances and great shows from some very talented individuals they worth every minute of the time. Even though the theater itself doesn't have many seats they are still enough. A bit difficult to find but I think the best way is to go through the Student Union and come out on the other side and just turn left, parking maybe an issue but always great fun. Highly recommended enjoy your view!!!
Great theatre performance sadly marred by unbelievably bad venue: - Post Covid in 2022 couples/household members had to sit apart - No waiting in Foyer - No drinks on sale, not even water, no snacks, nothing… Makes no sense and spoiled what could have been a 5* evening.
