Our room was nice and spacious with the extra benefit of a small table, a window seat and a sofa. The beds and linen were very comfortable and the shower room very clean and modern. The decor slightly dated. Food was served from lunch through till evening which is a bonus, a good selection and tasty. Breakfast offered good cooked options, kippers, cereals & juice. We were lucky to catch an open mic night, featuring some local talent which made for an enjoyable evening. There are some good rural walks from the door, and very easy to find on the main road, easy to travel to & from.

Had a lovely family dinner here. Great homemade food, well cooked with generous portions. Good range of beers and nice service. Good value.

Unfortunately very disappointed as they advertise being open from 12pm daily on there website so we planned a day out in the countryside and to have lunch here and to try their steak and ale pie as people were saying it was great. We travelled from Morecambe looking forward to our lunch only to find the pub all closed up and this was at 1.30pm. So we were disappointed that the afternoon was slightly spoiled for us..

Excellent friendly village pub with great food and beers. The rooms are fantastic, all with character. Spotlessly clean, and lovely furniture with high quality bedding.

Great place to stay overnight, good spacious rooms and really good value as includes breakfast. Checking in was quick but morning staff during breakfast could be a bit more polite. We sat (3 people) for a good 25 minutes waiting for staff so we can ask for breakfast and 3 different staff walking in and out of kitchen each time, no one saying anything as if we did not exist sat in a table and there was no one else in there apart from us. I finally asked a young girl who was lovely, for breakfast and to be fair to them served us good breakfast. Maybe just could work on the hospitality part. Other than that, all was good.
