This place is pretty amazing. It's quite quirky and certain things could've been done better but on the whole this place definitely deserves 4 stars for originality. The layout is far from your bog standard typical back and forth run, there's plenty of lines to keep you trying out new routes. Quarters and bowls are at various angles to each other so you can use all the park in each run and keep the speed going, although there are a couple of spots that change level slightly that can throw you off but it's justified as it keeps the coping at roughly the same height around the park even though all the bowls and quarters are different sizes. The bowl is nice and big for the more advanced users but there's nothing small about most of the park, except maybe the two grind boxes which should have been a little higher. They are also square coping and should have been round. There's a really interesting concrete wall/ledge between the quarter and spine where the ramps blend into it that deserves some hammers thrown at it, it's really hard to skate it but it really pushes people's ability and imagination. Construction of the park seems good quality but the bottom flat section of the bowl is quite rough, looks like vandals have had a fire down there. On to my dislikes. This park seems unfinished, or like they planned on more but either ran out of time or money? One side of the park has a loose gravelly tarmac floor which is totally unskateable. Sometimes you overrun the quarters and roll into the gravel, if you try to skate the far grindbox you'll land and roll into the gravel, there's a few ledges to grind on the side of the middle jump box island which are totally unusable because of the gravel. What's that all about? The creators have totally mEssex up there. The park has some great transitions but there should be more street/tech objects to grind, there's plenty of space to do this on a flat bank and where the gravel is, just putting a couple of extra small rails around the park would've made a big difference and wouldn't have increased cost by much. That said, there's a great rail around the perimeter of a section of the park up around the bowl perfect for practice. The council should revisit this place and resurface the bottom of the bowl for safety and resurface the gravel area to complete the park to its full potential. Bonus points go to the sick handrails dotted around the leasure centre that someone decent needs to own.

Great outdoor skatepark. Decent size with plenty on different drops. There isn't a play park there for kids to play on. @ mysonmx830 - Instagram 2yearsold rider

This is a decent park for skateboards. Worth a trip. But there are issues. The curved concrete ramps are not even height and too far apart, which makes dropping and latching on in certain directions impossible. The bowls are little and full of gravel and glass. As usual. Take a sweeping brush! The rails aren't really grind-able due to the concrete around the edge of the skatepark being REALLY REALLY rough. But the main section is smooth, like USA parks. Decent way to spend an hour or so.

Great skatepark!. Shame everything's like 4-5ft quarters ideal for scooters instead of proper 7-8ft but it's good ..
