Issued by EZ-Link Pte Ltd, the ez-link card was Singapore’s first contactless stored-value card for public transport, introduced in April 2002 for use on MRT, LRT, and buses. Its fast contactless technology enables transactions to be completed in just 0.2 seconds, making travel quicker and more efficient.In 2008, a new version of the card was launched in compliance with the CEPAS standard, becoming the first CEPAS card introduced in Singapore. It remains the most popular choice for contactless prepaid payments in the country.Today, the ez-link card is widely recognized for its convenience, speed, accuracy, and security.
