The first 12 years of this whisky’s life is spent aging in Ex Bourbon Casks with the next 9 months then resting in ex Sherry Casks. This is ultimately an extremely mellow whisky with layers of honey, nutty fruit and light spice. Balvenie remains unique in its growing its own Barley as it has done since its inception in 1893.
