Product Description
Suitable for Use All Around the Home - IP65 Rated Are you looking for a lighting fixture that you can integrate into every room of your home? If that is the case, this LED downlight is the one that you ve been searching for! It s IP65 rated ; therefore, you can install it in your bathroom (including zone 1), living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, hallway, storage room and garage! With this downlight, you can have a uniform set of ceiling lights, making your home look more cohesive. Just note that while it s IP65 rated, it s not protected enough to be submerged underwater. If you are planning that kind of application, you will need a fixture with an even higher IP rating! Fire Rated to 30, 60 & 90 Minutes; Suitable for Solid, Web, and I-Joist Ceilings Cutting a hole in your ceiling to mount your downlight will compromise its fire integrity. Yes, the downlight may block the gap, but there will still be tiny crevices where the fire can easily slip through. If you have a home with multiple levels using downlights, consider replacing them with a fire-rated one, as it s designed with an intumescent pad that expands when exposed to a particular temperature. This LED downlight is fire-rated to 30, 60, and 90 minutes (solid-joist ceilings) of protection, meaning the hole you cut to mount your lights is totally released, and your ceiling is reinforced to prolong the time when the fire will spread (in this case, to 90 minutes)! Also, it s suitable for use with I-Joists or Web-Joists (30 minutes of protection) . This is standard across the industry and still meets BS regulations. Quick and Easy Installation Installing is not as fun and exciting as choosing the design of the lighting fixture. However, it s an integral part of your light's function. So, while it s a tedious process, there are some fixtures that can simplify it for you and get the job done quicker like this LED downlight! It s made with several features that streamline the mounting process, allowing you to manage your time and effort efficiently. This LED downlight has screwless quick connectors, enabling a loop-in/loop-out connection . Also, it s mains-powered , so you don t need a driver or transformer to make it work. Just wire it directly to the mains circuit, add a bulb, and you re done! Works with a GU10 bulb This LED downlight is designed with a GU10 LED lamp holder; therefore, you can use it with any GU10 bulb. However, it s a dimmable fixture, so if you want to utilise its dimming features, you need to pair it with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. As for the GU10 bulb , you can get it in cool white, natural white and warm white light. Cool white and natural white are both suited for task lighting. The only difference between the two colours is cool white has a crisp bluish tone, while natural white has no hints of blue or yellow. Alternatively, warm white light is perfect for ambient lighting because its yellowish shade can create a cosy environment! Open Can Design & Lovely Matt White Bezel Whether you prefer a minimalist lighting design or not, it s best to use it as a baseline for whatever aesthetic you choose. Going all out immediately with the style you want may limit your choices in the future if you decide to try something new. At least, if you have a neutral base, you don t always have to start from scratch, as you already have a solid foundation! This LED downlight has a simple round bezel with a stunning matt white finish that matches any design scheme, be it traditional, modern, or a fusion of both! Insulation Coverable While some light fixtures can be covered with insulation, you cannot assume that it's the same for all. So, unless you see the words insulation-coverable (or something in the same sense), do not put insulation over your fittings! This LED downlight is insulation-coverable , so you can cover it loosely with loft insulation. Most cheaper downlights don't allow for this, but it's an excellent feature for your lights to have because it means that the heat will escape from your home quickly. Therefore, we highly recommend our downlight since it will also help to reduce your heating and electric bills when used with an LED lamp (with a maximum power of 7w).
