Borage Plant - Blue

Borage (Borago officinalis) produces abundant sky-blue, star-shaped flowers in summer and is a magnet for bees and other pollinators. Easy to grow in a sunny spot with well-drained soil, it reaches about 60cm and will self-seed. The edible flowers make attractive garnishes for salads and summer drinks, while the young leaves have a mild cucumber flavour. Suitable for pots, patios, borders, window boxes and raised beds, and is reputed to improve strawberry flavour when planted nearby.
