Marshalls Garden 'Chantenay Red Cored 2' is an early maincrop carrot producing stump-rooted, richly coloured roots with a fine texture and small cores. Its delicious flavour and smooth finish make it ideal for cooking or fresh eating. Easy to grow in beds, raised beds or containers, sow directly in 1cm shallow drills from March to July, protect early sowings with fleece, water regularly in dry spells and thin carefully to reduce carrot fly risk. Average pack contains 3000 seeds and plants reach around 300 mm in height.
