Limequat (Citrus Fruit)

Quite an intriguing cross between a kumquat and a lime, the aptly named Limequat produces fruits up to 3-4cm in diameter that will mature into yellow from a young green. Its sweetly tasting skin can be used to make marmalades and preserves, while its juice and rind is great for using in cocktails, sauces and desserts. Citrus fruits grown in a standard UK garden can take up to a year to develop, but they are always so worth the time invested in them.
