Shelf Life: 24 months from date of manufacture in tightly sealed, undamaged containers.. Application Instructions. Ensure surfaces are sound, stable, clean, and dry.. Remove rust from metal surfaces using a wire brush.. For long-term protection, treat metal surfaces with a rust-inhibitive product like red lead or zinc phosphate.. Roughen new galvanised surfaces with a wire brush or treat with a proprietary etch primer.. Prime porous surfaces with BLACK JACK® Bitumen & Flashing Primer.. Stir the paint thoroughly before use.. Apply using a brush or spray without thinning.. Apply a minimum of two coats, allowing the first coat to dry (typically 2–4 hours) before applying the second.. Limitations. Not suitable for areas where subsequent solvent contact is likely.. Do not use for potable drinking water tanks.. Avoid inhalation of vapours in confined spaces.. Allow sufficient drying time between coats.. May bleed through paints applied over it; apply a suitable primer before overpainting.. Cleaning of Tools. Clean tools with white spirit immediately after use. Wipe off any spillage before the bitumen paint has set.
