Product Description

The Lavender Collection offers a delightful way to fill your garden with neat, compact floral hedges, each plant exuding a traditional lavender perfume. This collection comprises four distinct Lavender varieties, each ideally suited for growing as a low hedge, showcasing not only traditional purple blooms but also alternative white and pink-tinged flowers. The collection includes: Lavandula angustifolia ‘Hidcote’ with its rich purple blooms on neat, upright stems and a powerful fragrance; Lavandula angustifolia ‘Munstead’ featuring aromatic silver-grey evergreen foliage and fragrant lilac-mauve flowers beloved by bees and butterflies; Lavandula angustifolia ‘Arctic Snow’ displaying upright, fragrant flower spikes with white and pink-tinted blooms, set against evergreen foliage; and Lavandula angustifolia ‘Rosea’ with its beautifully scented rose pink flowers rising on small stems above distinctive grey-green foliage.Ideally, these English Lavender plants should be grown alongside well-trodden paths or near the house to fully appreciate their delightful perfume. The attractive flower spikes can be cut and displayed indoors or dried, allowing their beauty and scent to be enjoyed even longer.Grow English lavender plants in free-draining soil, selecting a position in full sun. Lavenders dislike wet ground, especially during winter, so improve heavy soil by adding coarse grit or sharp sand before planting. When growing English lavender in large patio containers, use a well-drained soil-based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Prune lavender plants after planting to encourage bushy growth and water regularly throughout summer until fully established. Once established, they are reasonably drought-tolerant. Immediately after flowering, prune English lavender back to within 2cm (1") of the previous year’s growth to maintain a compact, well-shaped plant.Product Specifications: Position in: full sun. Supplied as 8 x 9cm Pots.
