Product Description

From July to September, Echinacea's striking blooms unfurl, showcasing petals that radiate from a deep-brown central cone. Ideal for attracting bees and butterflies, these tall-stemmed flowers are a superb addition to cottage and wildlife gardens, and make wonderful cut flower displays indoors. To grow, pot the plants initially and nurture them in frost-free conditions until they're robust enough for outdoor life. Acclimatise them gradually to outdoor conditions over seven to ten days before planting in garden borders. Echinacea flourishes in sunny or semi-shaded spots with moist, well-drained soil. They thrive in deep, fertile soil, so enrich the soil with well-rotted manure or garden compost before planting.During the growing season, regular feeding and watering are key until the plants are well-established. Encourage further blooms by deadheading any faded flowers. In autumn, cut back the faded flower stems and mulch around the plant's base with well-rotted manure. If overcrowding occurs, divide the plants in autumn or spring. Please remember the images are a guide to the expected results upon maturity and growing conditions can affect the outcome. The images may also show seasonal variations, as deciduous plants lose their leaves in colder months.
