We just came back from a wonderful week at Marske by the Sea staying at The Sanctuary. The cottage was beautiful & immaculately clean, very well equipped, cosy & comfortable. Rachael is the perfect host, very helpful & there if you need anything but not intrusive. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise & the wine, chocolates & doggy treats were such a kind thought & enjoyed by all. We had lots of long walks with the dogs & also some great visits around & about, Whitby & Staithes being our favourites which were gorgeous, very picturesque. Lovely to look down on Whitby Harbour from the church & fantastic views of the surrounding area. Marske is a delightful little town with everything you need only five minutes walk from the cottage & the beach is a short walk in the opposite direction through the lovely gardens. It stretches for miles & is great for doggy walks. Our boys met lots of new furry friends on walkies. This was our first holiday north of the midlands & we thoroughly enjoyed it, we would definitely recommend a stay at The Sanctuary, it’s the perfect base for a great holiday. We will certainly we booking again in the future. Big thank you to Rachael for the attention to detail which makes the stay all the more enjoyable.
