The Dante

Superb meal! Eight of us had an excellent dinner with lovely food at amazingly good value. Terrific piri piri chicken, wonderful sea bass, great lamb and halloumi kebabs. Desserts were great too! The wine was excellent and the prices were incredibly reasonable. A very friendly welcome and great service - you shouldn’t miss this lovely pub!

Popped in for a drink at the end of our holiday as we had tried the other two pubs in the square. Place was empty (8pm) bar maid stopped long enough from filing her nails to serve us, but the real ale she served was ice cold, not how it should be kept or served. Left as soon as we finished our drinks. Heard later that its closing down….

Truly beautiful historic pub in a handsome village. Seems to be an integral part of the community, as it should be. Only had a soft drink but will go out of my way to come back for a proper visit. Pool table upstairs too.

Middle of the road review, limited beer selection, new landlord finding their feet, very friendly. Will return after they have got established

Here on christmas day, we always come in here on our regular visits as its such a lovely pub for a drink or lunch and dinner, but our christmas day dinner was faultless. Thank you to a lovely team of staff. If your in the area its a real dales pub and you wont find better.
